The Shimanami Kaido is a world-renowned cycling route connecting Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture to Imabari in Ehime Prefecture. With its breathtaking bridges and island vistas, it’s a dream ride for cyclists from around the globe.
At the heart of Imabari, near the end of this scenic journey, you’ll find Deco—a cozy specialty shop offering handmade baked sweets. Using carefully selected ingredients, Deco crafts pound cakes, madeleines, bosche, florentines, and more—all at reasonable prices.
Located just a 3-minute walk from Imabari Station and right next to City Hall, Deco is the perfect stop for a mid-ride energy boost or a sweet treat during your travels. The Deco store is located on the corner of an intersection about 500m east of the main street after exiting the east exit of JR Imabari Station.
Direct flights to Matsuyama Airport are available from Narita Airport (Chiba), Haneda Airport (Tokyo), Nagoya Chubu Centrair Airport, Osaka Itami Airport, and Fukuoka Airport. From Matsuyama Airport,
you can take the Airport Limousine Bus to JR Matsuyama Station (approximately 20 minutes) and then take a JR train to Imabari Station (approximately 40 minutes).
If you are using the Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen, you can get off at Fukuyama Station in Hiroshima Prefecture, cross the Shimanami Kaido to get to Imabari Station via a highway bus (approximately 80 minutes),
or take the JR Limited Express 'Shio Kaze' from Okayama Station, which takes you across the Seto Ohashi Bridge to reach Imabari Station (approximately 140 minutes).
Opening days and times
Deco is open Monday through Saturday
from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
We sell baked goods such as pound cakes, florentines, madeleines, and poches, all made with carefully selected ingredients and handmade to perfection.
Please note that we are generally closed on Japanese holidays.
The 5th of every month is Deco Day.
Select sweets will be sold at a 100 yen discount each.
